I think many people love their cover of this song, but I have never enjoyed them playing Dancing In The Streets. For some reason, it always makes me cringe. Maybe it was different if you were there at the show??

Well, good to see you...even if you just missed our celebration for St Pats...assume you held your own.

Some of the people I introduced to the band with 05/08/77 thought the Dancin' was the best thing on it - goes to show ...

All Beatles, Spencer Davies, Who, and Clash covers. And less often rather than not at all - Around and Around.

....ditto Round and Round--ESPECIALLY when it comes crashing into the end of a beautifully-played Stella Blue.

Early era, esp the jams, are better, but I hear ya...I defn didn't care for the latter day versions I saw in the 70s...

Good point - I wasn't thinking of the early era 60's versions, where Bobby has his young voice. Those do sound pretty different. It's the disco versions '77 on that make me squirm.

Yeah, On "Terrapin Station" I would have rather they jammed out Estimated for 4 more minutes and left Dancin' off the album altogether...but I love the early Dancin's, with Pig's keyboard swirling and whirling...
